Investment in upgrading mill at Alro Slatina

After the works, made in cooperation with FATA Hunter, the mill's processing capacity stands at 36,000 tonnes annually, and the quality of tin sheets and rolls will increase. The mill will be among the most modern ones. Verifications and tests have already taken place, the mill has been operated by Alro, it has worked at maximum capacity since end-April.

'The upgrading of the mill represents an important step in the strategy of increasing the production capacity for sheets, in Slatina. The partnership with FATA Hunter has been very productive, the upgrading will show its effects as scheduled, ' said Alro's general manager Gheorghe Dobra.

Vimetco NV is a global maker of aluminium, with units in Romania and China, a holding in the Netherlands and a management company in Switzerland.
