BVB main index declines by more than 39 pc in past 12 months

Financial placements have brought investors, in general, negative profit rates in the past 12 months on the background of significant corrections on the capital market, with consequences upon the mutual funds.
Investments in the most liquid shares on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) recorded a negative average profit rate, of minus 39.15 percent on the latest 12 months, according to BET Index which reflects the dynamic of the most liquid 10 shares quotations, reveals data provided by brokerage company Intercapital Invest.
Investments in mutual funds also showed a negative average profit rate, of minus 20.45 percent over the examined period.
Investors who placed money in equities on BVB RASDAQ market recorded in the latest 12 months a negative average profit rate of minus 24.34 percent.
Inflation rate in the past 12 months stood at 8.61 percent.
