The leu-euro pair drew 950 contracts at the derivatives exchange in Sibiu

The leu/euro pair was among the most looked for symbols at the derivatives exchange in Sibiu, with 950 contracts, reads a release of the Financial - Monetary and Commodity Exchange in Sibiu (BMFMS).
The short date of payment attracted 85.36 percent of the contracts signed on the leu/euro symbol, with the single currency exchange rate standing at 3.5825 lei, after a spectacular appreciation of 5.25 bani. The remaining 14.64 percent of the contracts were signed for December, with the euro reaching 3.6425 lei after an even bigger growth of 6.25 bani.
As regards the characteristics of the market as a whole, the beginning of the week kept investors waiting. According to the release, the investors present at the market signed almost 7,500 contracts out of 1,518 transactions with a value of 15.7 million lei.
DESIF 2 maintained as the most liquid symbol with 3,336 contracts. The DESIF 2 quota stabilized at 1.8055 lei/title, up 1.55 bani. DESIF 2 December went up 5 bani and was set at 1.89 lei, while DESIF 2 March 2008 marked a minus of 2.3 bani reaching 2.001 lei.
DESIF 5 drew 2,841 contracts. The quota for this term was set at 2.05 lei, up 0.12 bani. For th year-end, DESIF 5 were set at 2.225 lei, up 1.5 bani.
Transactions were also made on the banking segment, with 160 contracts being signed for the Erste derivatives, most of them for September, term for which a quotation of 156.5 lei was registered, up 5.5 lei. Erste share for December was estimated at 158.9 lei, up 7.5 lei.
Also, the transactions with gold reappeared, with the ounce standing at 880 dollars for next month.
