PCfun doubles sales in H1
AGERPRES - Romanian News Agency - 12 August 2008
PCfun.ro, an online store for IT products, electronics, mobile phones, announced, on Monday, sales went double in H1, compared with the same period in 2007, to four million dollars.
'With the e-commerce market having had a rather modest start in 2008, and most players having revised the initial target, the results in H1 have made us look optimistically at our estimate for this year, of 15 million dollars, for the two stores, PCfun and ElectroFun. For us, hitting this target comes as a confirmation of our own potential, as well as of our growth from one year to another, ' said president of PCfun.ro Marius Ghenea.
According to PCfun.ro, the number of orders in H1 doubled compared with the same period last year. This is largely due to the the prices having gone slightly down, under the influence of the Romanian leu currency/euro rate of exchange, the fall comes mainly from the producers, and can be identified also in the e-tail. More than 40 percent of the orders are made by common clients of the stores, which are at least at the third acquisition from the PCfun and ElectroFun sites.
PCfun.ro currently sells IT products and electronics, it has partners with a long tradition in this industry. Marketed brands include Acer, Apple, BenQ, Canon, Dell, Epson, Fujitsu-Siemens, Gigabyte, Lenovo, LG, Microsoft, Nikon, Nokia, Olympus, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba etc.
