Universal McCann plans 73M-euro turnover this year

Universal McCann, the media division of the McCann Erickson advertising group, expects to end the year with turnover worth over 73 million euros, up 40 percent than last year, the Ziarul finaciar reads on Wednesday.
Mihai Trandafir, managing director of Universal McCann, one of the leading players on the media market, says its top four clients in terms of volume- Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Heineken and SC Johnson, will account for a little more than 70 percent of the agency's turnover this year. Last year, Universal McCann posted an around 52 million-euro turnover, while for 2008 Trandafir expects an over 40 percent increase, which would take the agency's turnover to at least 72.8 million euros. The sum allocated for advertising by the four companies, which are among the leading investors in advertising, could amount to at least 51 million euros. The biggest account won by Universal McCann this year for Heineken, which was previously managed by MediaCom agency, the Ziarul financiar concluded.
