Lurssen acquired Mangalia shipyard

The German group Lurssen, specialized in the construction of ships and yachts, will acquire Mangalia Shipyard, according to the data remitted to Agerpres by the management of the Authority for State Assets Resolution (AVAS), Agerpres informs.
The German company and AVAS management decided to set up a partnership through the company Lurssen Lar Investment Gmbh. The partnership will deal with the rehabilitation and maintenance of the ships of the Military Navy from the port of Mangalia, and also the rehabilitation, maintenance and construction of components and then of ships for the portfolio of the firm from Germany. AVAS has already received the offer of partnership, and the Managing Council will empower most probably this week the representative of AVAS from the management of the shipyard to call the General Assembly in order to approve the partnership.
AVAS President, Teodor Atanasiu, declared in early August that the association with Lurssen does not exclude the privatisation of the company.
