MMDD: 86 million lei for setting up and upgrading of green areas

Local authorities can benefit by an amount of 86 million lei, over August 25-September 5, for the setting up and upgrading of green areas, funds that can be obtained within a new session of projects, reads a release with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MMDD).
The Government approved the granting of 86 million lei for the continuation of the 'Program of improving the environment quality by creating green areas in localities.'
The priority programs are those for localities with many people and in which a big number of trees are to be planted.
In order to receive money, the local authorities have to prepare a file that should include the application for financing, a legal copy of the local council's decision, a copy of the fiscal registration certificate, documents that should prove the legal status of the land the project will unfold on, a feasibility study and a technical project.
Some 199 projects have so far benefited by non-repayable financing from the Fund for Environment, accounting for 120 million lei.
