CG&GC business in H1: 14 million euros

Distribution and service company CG&GC IT registered 14 million euros in turnover in H1, almost the double of the 7.5 million euros in the same period last year, the Ziarul Financiar daily writes on Tuesday.

The firm, which employs 192 people, closed the fiscal year 2007 with 20 million in turnover, compared with an initial estimate of 21 million euros. The net profit stood at some 376,000 euros, according to data available on the page of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Cornel Giurgea, CG&GC IT manager, told Ziarul Financiar that the company wants to post this year 28 million euros in turnover, up 40 percent over the average of the IT market. 'The achievements in end June were in line with planning. The 14 million euros are good results, taking into account the seasonal character of the IT market, where, generally, over 40 percent of the annual volume is achieved in Q1, ' he said.

Company officials said that the advance in H1 is due also to the finalization of integration projects begun in 2007. This year, CG&GC IT has won important customers, among them the companies Mittal Steel, European Drinks, Arabesque, Craiova Mayor's Office, the Council of Tulcea County, south-east. The company has recently entered a partnership with Taiwanese maker of laptops Acer, and sales worth 500,000 euros are anticipated.
