Foreigners invest some 3.2 million euro in BVB in August

Net influxes of capital performed by foreign investors on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) stood at 3.198 million euros in August 2008, according to data released by the BVB.

Foreign investors' investments in stock floated on the Bucharest Stock Exchange stood at almost 49.2 million euros, for stock sales worth 46 million euros.

Non-resident individual investors bought shares worth 4.08 million euros and sold shares worth 2.64 million euros in August 2008, while non-resident institutional investors bought shares worth 45.12 million euros and sold shares worth 43.55 million euros.

In the same month, local investors bought shares worth 74.243 million euros and sold shares to the tune of 77.87 million euros.

Total stock exchanges in June 2008 on BVB stood at 127.43 million euros. In the first six months of 2008, net capital outflows performed by non-resident investors stood at 19.11 million euros.
