Stock exchange: SIFs fall 6.15 pct on Friday

Issuers listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) - the evolution of which is tracked by the BET-C composite index - on Friday fell in average 2.64 pct, whereas the five financial investment societies (SIFs, mirrored by the BET-FI index) lost in average 6.18 pct.

A number of 50 issuers were traded on the main BVB market - the Regular; of these, six were subject to appreciation, four stagnated and 40 dropped. BVB trades totaled 7.77 million euro (28.02 million lei), whereas trades performed on the RASDAQ over-the counter market stood at 960,338 euro.

The BET index, that reflects the evolution of the top liquid 10 listed issuers slid by 3.36 percentage points, whereas the ROTX index lost 2.49 percentage points.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT went down 4.29 pct and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG slipped 2.49 pct.The top liquid issuers were BRD - with trades worth RON 6.24 million; Banca Transilvania - RON 4.58 million; Petrom - RON 3.67 million and SIF 5 Oltenia - RON 3.05 million.
