The biggest Ramada complex from Europe will be in Bucharest starting in 2009

Parc Hotel from Bucharest will be integrated in Ramada chain after an investment of EUR 10 M, and, together with Ramada Plaza, will be the biggest hostelry complex in Europe, becoming operational next year, declared yesterday the representatives of the hotels in a press conference.

"The rebranding of Parc Hotel will be followed by another two investments, namely the renovation of the leisure center, the works worth EUR 3.5 M having to be finalized by the middle of the next year, and the construction of a conference hall of 1,500 places, an investment of EUR 3 M," stressed the marketing and sales manager of Ramada, Elena Mesina. According to her, the two four-star hotels will represent Ramada complex, with a total of 567 rooms. "The re-branding process will be finalized at the end of this year and, starting on January 1, 2009 we shall offer improved facilities and services at the same price. We have decided to not raise the prices of the rooms as a strategy of rewarding the loyalty of our clients," also declared Daniel Ben Yehuda, General Manager of both hotels.

The affairs of Ramada Majestic hotel from Bucharest ranked in the first half of the year at EUR 2.2 M, a level equal to that from the same period of the past year, while the operational profit increased 3.8 per cent. Of the total turnover from the first six months, 80 per cent came from the renting of the rooms, while the organization of events and the restaurant services had a contribution of 20 per cent.
