Microsoft Romania, 45 percent bigger revenues in financial year 2008

Bucharest, Sept 10 /Agerpres/ - Microsoft Romania posted 45% rise in revenues in financial year July 2007 - June 2008, due to the growth recorded by the Windows, network management and server products arms, on Tuesday said the company's marketing manager Dan Bulucea.

'In the financial year that started on 1 July 2007 and ended on 30 June 2008 we recorded a 45% rise in revenues due to a faster growth than the market of most of our arms and good performance of our partners', Bulucea said.

He said the Windows arm recorded a 37% rise although the market rose by 17 this year, especially due to the success of Windows Vista, and the arm of server products rose 75%, although the market rose 20%.

The network management activity rose 150% and the information worker business arm increased its revenues 30%.

The company launched also a promotion of practical applications Office 2007, which includes Word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007 and One Note 2007 applications for 199 lei. The package is available at most retailers of IT products. AGERPRES
