Bucharest Stock Exchange posts five-month low liquidity at 2.86 mln euros

Bucharest, Sept 12 /Agerpres/ - The value of the transactions on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) amounted to just 2.86 million euros (10.35 million lei) on Thursday, with this being the lowest liquidity recorded this year, except for the April 23 session, when the investors' apathy ahead of the Easter Feast led to 1.648 million euros worth of liquidity.
The quotations of the shares listed on the BVB depreciated on Thursday by an average 2.4 percent, an evolution measured by the BET-C composite index, while the stock of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded an average depreciation of 3.72 percent (the BET-FI index).
The BET index, that reflects the evolution of the top-10 liquid listed shares, dropped by 3.24 percent, while the ROTX index fell by 3.35 percent.
The extended blue chip index BET-XT dropped by 3.41 percent, while the sectoral index for energy and utilities BET-NG went down by 2.74 percent.
The top-10 most liquid shares were from Impact, with transactions worth 1.36 million lei, Banca Transilvania bank with 1.31 million lei, the Romanian Bank for Development BRD with 1.25 million lei and SIF4 Muntenia with 1.004 million lei. AGERPRES
