GarantiBank grants a medium term loan of EUR 50 M for Cosmopolis project

Bucharest - Opus Land Development received a medium term loan of EUR 50 M from GarantiBank, loan that will be used to finance the first two stages of Cosmopolis project, informs a press release sent to the editorial office. This credit line can be used by Cosmopolis both as a medium term cash loan and as a credit or guarantee letter. The partnership between GarantiBank and Cosmopolis began upon the launching of the project, in September 2007, when GarantiBank offered Opus Land developers the first loan for the funding of the first stage of the project. Apart from funding the constructions of the residential complex, GarantiBank offers credits for purchasers. The confidence of GarantiBank in Cosmopolis - the First European City in Romania, was visible also in the preferential interest rate of 5.94 per cent offered to Cosmopolis clients.

"We continue this year the partnership that we have with GarantiBank, which was near us since we started to work on this project, offering us its expertise connected with the market from Romania. The group Buyukhanli has had for many years an enduring relation with GarantiBank in Turkey, and we want this relation to continue also in Romania," declared Ahmet Buyukhanli, president Cosmopolis. In his turn, Berat Icinsel, general manager GarantiBank, pointed out that the bank has chosen to fund this project thanks to the innovative concept for the real estate market. "We are glad that we could extend the partnership from Turkey with Opus Land Development also in Romania. The main criterion subject to which we chose to finance Cosmopolis project was a modern concept for the local real estate market, that of a city with an architectural design similar to those from Europe. We are confident that Cosmopolis project answers the demand of good quality dwellings, at European standards, request increasingly present on the mature real estate market from Romania. The success registered with the sale of flats, confirms this," declared Berat Icinsel, General Manager GarantiBank. Cosmopolis is developed by the company Opus Land Development SA, member of the well known groups of companies from the domain of constructions, Buyukhanli Group.
