Certinvest becomes Aviva

Certinvest, an investment managing company, turned, on Monday, Sept 29, into Aviva Investors Romania, a global network for asset management of Aviva Group, Aviva Investors writes in a press release.

Aviva Investors currently manages 235 billion pounds (297 billion euros or 469 billion US dollars).

'Today marks an initial integration of our companies of asset management and the start of a process of turning Aviva Investors into an investment power center. Aviva Investors will use its products and global expertise to offer innovative services and high-performance investment to our domestic and foreign customers. The process does not regard only the re-branding. It means a radical change, related to the value we can offer our clients. It regards a new approach of the management of assets and the building of a new, dynamic group, which can really offer global investment solutions, ' said, on Monday, executive manager Aviva Investors Alain Dromer.

Aviva Investors brings together companies from Australia (Portfolio Partners), France (Aviva Gestion d'Actifs), Poland (CUIM Polska), Ireland (Hibernian Investment Managers), North America (Aviva Capital Management, MFM International, Aviva Investment Canada), Romania (Certinvest) and Britain (Morley Fund Management).

'We now are a unitary company, with a global view and specialized expertise, one in which dynamism, responsibility and international cooperation will generate investment solutions and high yields. We have been a dynamic company on the local market and we will become more dynamic and active, by integration into Aviva Investors. Our capacity to create products meeting the needs of our customers will be at the highest level in this industry, ' said Eugen Voicu, executive manager Aviva Investors Romania.

Aviva Investors is the global asset managing network set up under the umbrella of Aviva plc., the fifth largest insurance group worldwide, function of the value of subscribed premiums on Dec 31, 2007.

The company operated under one brand only, employing over 1,100 people, in 21 locations in North America, Britain, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Aviva is leader in life insurance and pensions in Europe, with top positions in other markets worldwide, it was the fifth biggest insurer in the world, function of revenues from insurance premiums, on Dec 31, 2007.
