The Bucharest Stock Exchange inches over 1%, animated by Wall Street recoup

The five financial companies in Romania or SIFs climbed an average 3.47 percent on closing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE), amid a spectacular recovery of bourses in the U.S.
American bourses shifted back to green today after the most dramatic session of the past 21 years, with investors betting on a new attempt of the U.S. authorities to relaunch the 700 billion dollar Paulson plan to bail out the financial system.
The Dow Jones (DJIA) composite index added 4.68 percent to 10,850.66 and the S&P 500 index of the best 500 companies on the market hiked 5.27 percent to 1,164.73. Nasdaq gained 4.97 percent to 2,082.33.
The BET index of the ten best companies listed on BSE upped 1.63 percent to 4,327.59 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus financial companies increased 1.19 percent to 3,274.13.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIFs hiked 3.47 percent to 26,272.97 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna went up 0.76 percent to 10,506.16.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies climbed 2.03 percent to 454.81 and the BET-NG index of the ten power companies on the market rose 2.25 percent to 619.20.
European bourses were mixed at closing hour in Bucharest, on investors waiting for the U.S. Senate to vote on the bailout plan. Banking stocks went up on hopes regarding the closing of the British lender HBOS takeover by Lloyds TSB.
The FTSE index in London gained 2.13 percent to 5,006, while the DAX index in Frankfurt lowered 0.39 percent to 5,808. The CAC40 index in Paris inched 0.26 percent to 4,042.
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) were the most liquid today, with total deals of 4.58 million lei, and boosted 5.43 percent to 1.36 lei. SIF Moldova (SIF2) climbed 1.63 percent to 1.25 lei, SIF Transilvania (SIF3) hiked 4.55 percent to 0.69 lei, SIF Muntenia (SIF4) added 2.96 percent to 0.87 lei and SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) appreciated 2.42 percent to 1.27 lei.
Erste Bank (EBS), the majority shareholder of Romania's largest lender by assets, lost 0.83 percent to 131.40 lei. Second bank by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) decreased 0.88 percent to 11.20 lei.
Oil company Petrom (SNP) upped 4.10 percent to 0.33 lei, while fertilizer producer Azomures (AZO) fell 2.10 percent to 0.42 lei. Shares of lender Banca Comerciala Carpatica (BCC) jumped 14.67 percent to 0.2580 lei, on a reduced liquidity of 130,723 lei.
