TotalSoft plans to boost its business abroad by 40 pc, up to 2010

TotalSoft, one of the biggest players on the Romanian market of software and IT services, has in plan that, by 2010, its foreign market to account for 40 percent of total revenues, from 20 percent as it represents this business segment in 2008, Business Standard daily reads on Friday.
According to the company's director general Liviu Dragan, on January 1, 2009, TotalSoft is to open official representations in Budapest and in Sofia. 'In the first year we want to register one million euros in revenues on the market in Hungary. We already distribute Primavera solution there and we want to also sell Charisma soft on the segment of construction companies, as well as on the crediting and leasing zones', Liviu Dragan is quoted as saying by the aforementioned newspaper.
According to him, the company recorded in the first nine months of the year a 50 percent rise in business, its new clients including Raiffeisen Ukraine, oil company OMV, GE Money (financial services division of General Electric). 'Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia have an increased development potential in the solutions zone for financial and constructions sectors. We will keep on the software research and development activity in Bucharest, and in our offices in the region we will have sales, marketing, consultancy and support teams', said Dragan. TotalSoft has already an office in Serbia, currently inactive, which is going to be revitalized.
TotalSoft estimates for 2008 a 30 percent hike in its turnover, up to the value of 16.5 million euros and the Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 25 percent, the 2007 operational profit margin being of 20 percent.
In the first half of this year, Total Soft reported a turnover of 8.4 million euros, a jump of 20 percent from the same period of last year. The Greek investment fund Global Finance holds 80 percent of the company stock, a package bought in 2005, following a transaction of approximately 7.7 million euros.
