NauticLife to invest 5M euros in Romania, over 3 years ahead

NauticLife the world's top sailboat manufacturer plans to invest over five million euros in Romania, during the coming three years, reads the Company's release to Agerpres, on Friday.

The Company's first investment in Romania, the NauticLife Showroom in Mogosoaia (nearby Bucharest), inaugurated, on Friday, covers about 2,000 sq.m. indoors and 3,500 sq.m outdoors, and it exhibits all the equipment passionate sailors need, namely boat engines, adventure vessels, pontoons, sailing accessories.Moreover, NauticLife offers the beginners consultancy and advice for what they need to get their sailboats recorded and get sail licenses in Romania.NauticLife was set up as the result of a long lasting passion for sailing and for the Danube Delta (south eastern Romania). Sailing is a hobby and fun for many people in many European countries, no matter if they sail by a kayak, a motorboat or a sailboat. We started the business because Romania avails of natural resources that allow the development of an entire entertainment sailing and sailing can get the Romanians' pastime and fun, soon, NauticLife managing partner Mihail Marcu said.

NauticLife will allocated about 2.5 million euros, by 2009, to a permanent sailboat stock, in the showroom in Mogosoaia. The prices for a motorboat start from 3,000 euros and grow depending on their brand, size, motor and equipment.

The Company expects sales of round 2.5 million euros in 2009, and plans to become the market leader, during the years ahead.

The Romanian sailboat market is estimated at round 40 million euros including big boats and ships.
