AGERPRES - Romanian News Agency - 7 Octombrie 2008
The Romanian stock exchange market on Monday continued to slide all the way from the beginning of the trade session.

The market ended on high last Friday, despite smaller appreciations and a smaller liquidity, according to Banca Transilvania Asset Management (BTAM) firm.
The Friday's session started in negative territory, influenced by the Thursday's developments in the US, but the indices bounced back to positive territory as a result of rises on other European stock exchanges. Financial investment company SIF Moldova sold an 18.7-percent stake in Intfor Galati for some RON 6.7 million, while Petrom acquired a 20.8-percent stake in Petrom Aviation for RON 9.6 million.
The BT Maxim trust unit value of Banca Transilvania stood on Monday at RON 7.90, down 19.6 percent on a monthly basis and 54.1 percent on an annual basis. The BT Clasic trust unit value declined to RON 12.07, down 4 percent in monthly terms and 8 percent in annual terms.
