Stock Exchange recovers after Monday's loss, SIFs gain 3.82 pct

In the opening of Tuesday's trading session, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) recovered from the losses seen on Monday, Oct. 6; the BET-FI index, that tracks the evolution of the five Financial Investment Companies (SIF) and which had lost over 10 pct in the first day of the week, gained 3.82 pct in the beginning of Tuesday's session.

The BET-C overall index advanced 1.16 pct in the opening of the day, whereas the BET, which mirrors the evolution of the top-liquid 10 listed companies increased 1.31 pct.

The ROTX index climbed 1.36 pct in the first 30 minutes after the start of trades, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT gained 2.18 pct and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG went up 0.93 pct.

The Stock Exchange liquidity was of 566,673 euros (RON 2.233 million), with SIF5 Oltenia, BRD, SIF 2 Oltenia, SSIF Broker and Petrom subject to the bulkiest trades.

Stock worth a total of 108,198 euros changed hands on the RASDAQ over-the-counter market in the first 25 minutes after session opening.
