Almost 4.5 bln. euros evaporates on Stock Exchange in Oct

Almost 4.5 billion euros (round 17 billion lei) ‘has evaporated' on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), since early this Oct, after the BVB capitalization dropped from 87.81 to 70.9 billion lei, BVB data say.

BVB has undergone significant corrections this week after the big foreign stock exchanges dropped massively.

The most affected were the shares of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) that lost averagely 32 percent of the listed prices, BET-FI index going down from 26,272 to 17,851 points.

BET index curbed by 18 percent, namely from 4,327.59 to 3,539.07 points in Oct.
