Technologic novelties and products' performances, awarded at TIB

The technical universities have to step their efforts in terms of implementing the results obtained in research, although the budgets allocated to this activity have started to be decent, said on Friday Ecaterina Andronescu, rector of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, at the festivity of awarding the prizes of the 34th edition of the Bucharest International Technical Fair (TIB).
Romexpo, the organizer of the 34th edition of TIB, awarded 30 honorary diplomas to the firms that displayed performance products, which incorporate a high degree of technology and with impact on the market.
Excellence diplomas were given, for collective participations, to the representatives of Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey, Spain and France.
Prizes were given for debut and originality to the Ministry of Education and Research of Germany, Elba SA, ISCAR SA, Union Ocel SA, Lincoln Electric Europe SA and Greenbau Tehnologie SA.
The Polytechnic University of Bucharest was presented with the award for Scientific Partnership and the National Authority for Scientific Research received the award for making the Research Show and Inventika.
TIB was held 7 - 11 October and gathered 968 participants from 25 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Switzerland, Russia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, UK, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Syria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and Hungary.
The jury comprised professors from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
