Foreign nationals withdraw more than 22 mln euros from stock exchange in October

The foreign nationals' net outflows from the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) representing the difference between stock sales and buying totaled 22.238 million euros (83.36 million lei) in October, show figures released by the BVB on Thursday.

The total volume of the exchanges of stock in Oct. on the BVB amounted to 142.31 million euros. The non-residents' net outflows in the 10 months of this year amounted to 42.7 million euros.The foreign investors placed some 29.46 million euros in the BVB-listed shares, while the stock sales totalled 51.7 million euros.

Non-resident individuals last month bought 2.65 million euros worth of shares and sold shares worth 1.89 million euros, while the non-resident legally-set entities made acquisitions worth 26.81 million euros and sales totaling 49.8 million euros. Domestic investors in Oct. bought 108.05 million euros worth of stock and sold shares totaling 87.74 million euros.
