Several Italian investors in the county have also informed they might close down because of lack of orders. Among many other undertakings, Soft drinks industry leaders Coca-Cola and Pepsi expect a slowdown in their growth on the Romanian market which will lead to notable lay-offs. On the other hand, European Food and Drinks have announced postponing investment and in the meantime try to take advantage of the weaker Romanian currency that makes import goods more expensive. However, manufacturers keep their hopes up thanks to the mineral water. They think crisis will hit there last, because it is a product addressed to al segments of the public.
