Highest-paid 10 Romanian employees gain 6 million euro in 2007

The total value of the biggest 10 net incomes in Romania amounted in 2007 to 20.259 million lei (some 6.083 million euro), and the biggest income stood at 4.149 million lei (some 1.245 million euro) was obtained by a person who works in electricity sale, according to the data released by the National Fiscal Administration Agency (ANAF) and published in Ziarul financiar.
Ranking second in the classification of the 2007 salaries is also an employee of a firm that sells electricity. He was paid 878,045 lei (some 2.923 million euro).
Ranking third is someone who works in business consultancy. He was paid 744,644 lei, namely approximately 2.479 million euro.
Seven out of the biggest ten salaries paid in Romania in 2007 went to some employees working in energy companies or in financial intermediation ones.
Ranking 10th in the said classification is an employee working in plastic materials production. He was paid last year 400,998 lei, namely some 1.335 million euro.
In addition to electricity sale, business consultancy, financial intermediation and making plastic items for the construction sector, another line of work is present in the ranking of the highest-paid employees, published by Business Standard. It is about the production of soft drinks and mineral water, where the biggest annual salary in 2007 stood at 441,257 lei, the equivalent of some 1.469 million euro.
Such incomes are not a novelty in the annual statistics of ANAF. Thus, an employee of a Bucharest private firm dealing in trade, was paid over 1.8 million euro in 2004. The following year, the biggest annual salary was recorded by an employee working in the same line of business - 1.5 million euro, writes the Capital weekly.
