Romania to participate in European Development Days

Romania will participate 15-17 November in the European Development Days, organized in Strasbourg by the European Commission under the aegis of the French presidency of the EU.
The third edition of the event is part of the European events aimed at increasing the public opinion's awareness regarding cooperation for development. It will be attended by officials in the field of cooperation for development and their partners - local authorities, representatives of national parliaments and European Parliament, civil society, private sector and mass media.
The motto of the 2008 edition is 'Where Davos meets Porto Allegre', with the topic being the local governance.
According to a Friday's release of the Romanian Foreign Ministry, Romania's delegation to the said event will include diplomats, representatives of the local authorities from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, representatives of NGOs and mass media.
'This is the second edition of the European Development Days in which Romania participates with a national pavilion, where Romania will present a photo exhibition called 'Together for 2015', dedicated to the Development Objectives of the Millennium and the cooperation with local authorities in assistance projects for development', the release reads.
The participants in the event will exchange expertise in the field of assistance for development.
