Romania's stocks rise in Friday's session on the BSE following the powerful rebound of Asian markets

Stocks listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) closed with a slight increase after four days of losses, with the financial sector hiking an average 2.3 percent underpinned by a recoup of the Asian and European markets, according to brokers. Liquidity dropped 10 percent to 13.27 million lei (3.50 million euros) from 14.82 million lei in the previous session.
The BET index of the ten best companies on the market upped 0.80 percent to 2,888.31 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed share minus financial companies gained 1.89 percent to 2,135.54.The BET-FI index of the five financial companies or SIFs rose 2.30 percent to 13,576.87 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna added 0.93 percent to 6,408.30. The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies went up 1.07 percent to 282.32 and the BET-NG index of the ten power companies on the bourse nudged up 1.87 percent to 352.57. Stock markets in Europe slipped around 4:30 p.m. despite posting an upward trend during the entire day, after the climb of the futures market in the U.S. failed to offset fears of recession.
The FTSE index in London eased 0.23 percent to 3,866 and the DAX index in Frankfurt lost 0.30 percent to 4,207. The CAC40 index in Paris lowered 0.67 percent to 2,960. Shares of second Romanian lender by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) were the most liquid today and gained 0.64 percent on total deals of 2.84 million lei. Largest oil company Petrom (SNP) depreciated 1.18 percent to 0.168 lei and builder Impact Bucuresti (IMP) fell 0.32 percent to 0.0314 lei. Financial company SIF Moldova (SIF2) rose 2.70 percent to 0.57 lei, SIF Oltenia (SIF5) upped 2.34 percent to 0.655 lei, SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) hiked 3.39 percent to 0.61 lei, SIF Muntenia (SIF4) added 2.44 percent to 0.63 lei and SIF Transilvania (SIF3) grew 0.65 percent to 0.308 lei. Gas transporter Transgaz (TGN) nudged up 2.49 percent to 123.50 lei and drug maker Antibiotice Iasi (ATB) appreciated 2.56 percent to 0.40 lei.
Bond trading on the market totaled 6,629 securities at a value of 878,500 lei. Bonds issued by Romania's largest lender by assets, Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR09), generated deals of 571,600 lei from the sale of 6,300 securities. The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) traded 329 bonds for a total value of 306,887 lei.
