Main BVB index drops 67 pct in past 12 months

Investments in the most liquid shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) have reported an average negative yield, dropping by 67 percent in the past 12 months, according to the BET index reflecting the listing dynamics of the most liquid 10 shares.
The investments in mutual funds have also recorded an average negative yield, falling by 28.89 percent in the same period.
Those who exchanged lei for dollars a year ago have currently posted a 26-percent increase, while those keeping their savings in euro have reported a 7.2-percent rise.
Investors having bought the shares traded on the RASDAQ market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange have recorded a negative yield on average, by 47 percent lower.
The inflation rate has stood at 7.19 percent in the past 12 months.
