Sony electronics brand leads in perception of Romanian consumers

The Sony electronics brand is leading in a classification of the perception of Romanian consumers, according to a recent study of Reveal Marketing Research.
With an index of 24.87, Sony ranks first in the GeneralRate category, followed by Nokia (20.70) and Philips (18.47).
The only brand originating in Romania, present in the classification at the category of electronics, is Arctic. The brand, purchased and currently manufactured by the Turkish company Arcelik, ranks tenth, with an index of 0.38, and it reaches a maximum among people aged between 46 and 55 years.
Arctic is rated better at the chapter of visibility, it ranks seventh, with an index of 7.22, higher for the category of women (10.55 percent) in the age bracket between 36 and 45 years (11.67) as well as in Moldova (11.55).
When it comes to the visibility of the other brands, the general classification of electronics does not see any modification at the level of the first three brands. Sony, 29.11, Nokia, 20.67 and Philips, 19.97, hold the first three positions.
Sony has higher visibility for men, 37.39 percent, and so is Nokia, 21,14 percent, and Philips, 19.97 percent.
As regards the visibility of these brands on geographic regions, the Business Standard daily mentions that Sony has the highest visibility in Bucharest, 37.49, Nokia - in Transylvania, 24.15, and Philips - in Moldova, 24.05.
The classification of investment in publicity, in 2007, after the gross sums, according to Alfacont, rates Arctic first, with 13.7 million euros, followed by Nokia, 10.6 million euros, LG Electronics, some six million euros, and Sony, 4.5 million euros.
For the category CommunicationRate, which shows that the respondents recently heard good or negative things about the brands in the study, the classification differs from that of investment in publicity: Sony (25.94), Nokia (19.09) and Philips (17.80) are the brands best sold. Arctic comes ninth, 2.23 and LG, fifth, 8.58, writes the daily.
