MEF sells state bonds worth 402 million lei

Romanian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) attracted on Wednesday 402 million euros in a issue of discount treasury certificates, placed on tender via the Romanian National Bank (BNR).
The state bonds have one-year maturity, while the average yield of the issue stood at 14.23 percent. The discount rate average balance stood at 12.44 percent.
The total value of the issue stood at 800 million lei, with the total request from the banks that participated in the tender having stood at 1.16 billion lei. MEF rejected such offers of the banks requesting for such yields higher than 14.24 percent.
