BVB main index decrease 65pc in past 12 months

Investments in the most liquid shares at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) have registered an average negative efficiency of minus 65.13 percent in the past 12 months, measured by the BET index which shows the dynamics of the quotations of the most liquid 10 stocks.

Investments in the mutual funds have also had an average negative efficiency, of minus 28.44 percent in the same period.

Those who have exchanged their national currency (RON) into US dollars a year ago have currently recorded a 21.57 percent increase, while those who have kept their savings in euros have registered a 6.12 percent appreciation.

The investors who have placed their money in shares on the BVB RASDAQ market have recorded in the past 12 months an average negative efficiency of minus 50 percent.The inflation rate in the past 12 months was 7.39 percent.
