Value of transactions on BVB, lowest on Wednesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Wednesday registered its lowest transaction value in 2008, of only 1.177 million euro (or 4.5 million lei). The lowest liquidity level so far was recorded before the Easter holiday when the investors' apathy triggered a transaction value of only 1.648 million euro.

The value of shares listed on the BVB went up Wednesday, by an average 0.02 percent, evolution measured by BET-C index, while the shares of the financial investment institutions (SIFs) rose 0.2 percent (the BET-FI index).

On BVB's main market, Regular, transactions with shares of 46 companies have been made, of which 17 rose, 13 stagnated and 16 fell.The BET index, mirroring the evolution of the 10 most liquid companies went up 0.11 percent, while the ROTX index increased 0.7 percent. BET-XT index increased 0.13 percent, while BET-NG of the energy and utility companies grew 0.14 percent.

The most liquid shares were SIF Moldova (transactions of 612,511 lei), BRD with 539,994 lei, SIF4 Muntenia with 454,928 lei and SIF Oltenia with 441,745 lei.
