Chinese businessmen interested in investing in Romanian seaside

Businessmen from Shanghai, China, have met on Thursday, in Constanta (south-east), local businessmen, the Chinese being interested in concluding economic partnerships and in investing on the Romanian seaside.
The Chinese delegation including among others representatives of various companies and of the Shanghai Federation of Industries & Commerce (Shanghai Chamber of Commerce), showed interest in cooperating with domestic companies in the field of consumption and industrial goods, as well as in the production and trade of elevators and spare parts.
'We view Constanta as a Chinese merchandise 'hub' and consider that an enhanced presence of Chinese businessmen in our county will be appreciated, given our common interests', pointed out Chairman of Constanta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation and Agriculture (CCINA) Mihai Daraban.
He presented to the Chinese business opportunities in Constanta County, emphasizing the importance of Constanta Port, of tourism, naval industry and agriculture.
Head of Chinese delegation Jin Liang, vice-president of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, stressed that the Chinese entrepreneurs would like to see Constanta Port becoming a reference point for the distribution of merchandise brought from China, both in Romania and in the Black Sea zone.
Shanghai Chamber of Commerce has more than 30,000 members and includes 52 influent associations of the Shanghai business circles.
Alongside business talks between the Chinese and Romanian business people, a partnership agreement was signed between CCINA Constanta and the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce.
Attending the Romanian-Chinese meeting there were the County Prefect Danut Culetu and the General Consul of the Republic of China in Constanta, Wang Tieshan.
