Miele German company kick starts building plant in Brasov

Miele is to invest some 13.5 million euros in the new the plant in Brasov, center of Romania. They announced the investment back in 2007, but the works began not long ago. Initially, production at the new facility had to start in Jan 2009.

Several investors from Brasov County, along with local authorities and owners of plots of land put money together to start the building of the largest industrial park in the area, stretching over 225 ha, with the investments reaching 400 million euros. Practically, the industrial park will cover the areas of the villages of Feldioara (120 ha) and Halchiu (105 ha).
