Presentation of offers for Avioane Craiova SA postponed until 30 January 2009

The deadline for presenting the offers for the package of shares held by AVAS with Avioane Craiova Company was postponed until 30 January 2009, an AVAS press release shows.AVAS decided to postpone for the second time the deadline for the presentation of documents following a request made by a potential investor, Alenia Aeronautica Italy.

Until now potential investors, Alenia Aeronautica Italy and EPS Inc. Tintin Falls USA , the Bucharest branch have purchased Presentation Files.

Participation documents will be opened on 30 January 2009, 12.00 noon at AVAS headquarters in Bucharest, in the presence of all participants.Access to the data bank organized at Avioane Craiova is extended until 29 January 2009.On 20 October 2008 AVAS re-launched the privatization of Avioane Craiova and took out for sale a package of shares representing 80.9778% of the social capital. The sale of 741,339 shares with a nominal value of 2.5 lei will be made through negotiation based on final offers, improved and irrevocable.

The participation guarantee is 370,670 lei and the fee for direct access to data is 1,570 lei. The presentation file costs 3,150 lei.Avioane Craiova was set up in 1972 for the construction and repair of airplanes. The company is the single military airplane producer in the system, of Romanian aircraft industry and of the training plane IAR 99 Falcon compatible with NATO standards for the Romanian Air Force. The company can carry out maintenance and repair activities for vehicles, metal constructions and parts, electric installation works, anti-corrosive insulation and protection, activities of design, urbanization and other technical services, research, development, etc.
