Biborteni Co. awarded title of 'His Majesty King Mihai I House Supplier'

Biborteni Co. was awarded the title of 'His Majesty King Mihai I House Supplier' on Thursday during a ceremony officiated by the former Romania's Sovereign His Majesty King Mihai I and Queen Ana of Romania.

'Biborteni enters today the aristocracy world by receiving the title of 'His Majesty King Mihai I House Supplier'. Biborteni mineral water and soft drinks were present for a year on His Majesty's table, successfully passing all the tests in order to receive the Supplier's title', stressed Madalin Simion, Biborteni brand manager.

The title of supplier is not a distinction, does not imply judicial, political or commercial aspects and is not the expression of a partnership.

Biborteni is the seventh Royal House Supplier together with Murfatlar, Frottirex, Doina Levintza, Dan Coma, Halewood wine cellar, Transavia, Principal Company.

Biborteni reported 9 million euros in its turnover in 2007, 2008 estimations showing a 30 percent growth, to 11.7 million euros. The objective set for 2009 is the winning of another 2 percent of the market share, at present Biborteni accounting for 5 percent of the entire mineral water market in Romania.

At the same time with receiving the document, which attests this title, the Supplier must sign a document confirming it is entering the possession of this status with the pledge that it is going to respect the title on the entire assignment period. The decision of granting the title of 'His Majesty King Mihai I House Supplier' keeps to the Royal House administration as product and service consumer. This title is offered on a three-year period which might be lengthened by another three years.
