Microsoft Romania aims at increasing by 30% number of partners in 2009

Microsoft Romania aims at increasing by 20-30% the number of partners in 2009, says Florian Ivan, partner strategy manager at Microsoft Romania. He told Business Standard the number of partners of the company could reach 3,900 in Romania.

He said that rises of 50% are hard to achieve at present. However, the representative of Microsoft Romania is optimistic, as he counts on the fact a change in partners' perception versus Microsoft offers will occur next year.

'The economic crisis will make the companies reevaluate their business, and these will emphasize more the software products. From this viewpoint, in my opinion, the software market will record next year a 20-25% growth', Ivan said.

'All the Microsoft arms in Romania have an undisputed growth potential, but I believe a major growth will be recorded by the business and consumer solutions. I believe very much in the potential of these segments, especially in Romania', said Calin Tatomir, who was appointed the company's CEO in mid-October.
