Ramada Plaza Bucharest reports occupancy rate 53 percent in 10 months

Ramada Plaza Bucharest reported an occupancy rate of 53 percent in the first 10 months of operation on the Romanian market of four-star luxury hotels, according to a release of the company.
For 2009, the hotel's representatives estimate an average occupancy rate of 60-65 percent.
The hotel is fully operational, all the 300 companies complying with Ramada Plaza's standards, a hotel with an international classification of 4 stars plus.
'We are reporting the development pace we estimated at opening, a good growth pace for a hotel which started its activity only one year ago. The market of customers of 4 stars plus saw an adjustment this year, a natural drive of development of the hotel market this year a natural development of the hotel market and of diversification of the type of offers,' said Daniel Ben Yehuda, general manager of Ramada Plaza Romania.
The company estimates for next year a rise in the occupancy rate for Ramada Plaza by targeting new markets (such as the Russian market), the rise in the number of Romanian tourists and a rise in demand through the combination of offers of Ramada Plaza and Ramada Parc Bucharest.
Ramada Plaza was launched in March 2008 being destined mainly to business tourism with guests from all the countries of Central Europe (35-40 percent), of Western Europe (25 percent) and from other parts of the world.
Company Parc Hotels invested 15 million euros in the renovation and modernization of the former hotel Turist which, in this way, becomes Ramada Plaza Bucharest (four stars plus category). With an area of over 14,000 square metres, the hotel has a capacity of 300 rooms and 300 employees.
In Romania, Ramada brand is represented by Trend Hospitality which is strategic partner in Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova and holds franchise exclusivity on the Romanian market of the following brands of Wyndham Hotel Group portfolio: Ramada Worldwide, Super 8 Motel and Days Inn.
