Nine o'Clock - 18 Decembrie 2008
The fluctuation of the staff from the private companies will diminish on the background of the economic crisis, which will conduct to the increase of the performance of the employees, Mediafax informs. Oana Bolotan Datki, country manager of the consultancy team "Consulteam" estimates that the fluctuation of the employees from the multinational companies will reach 17 per cent this year, down vs. 2007 when it was over 20 per cent. For 2009, she foresees the reduction of this phenomenon by up to 10 per cent. The specialists from the domain of human resources consider that there is also a good side of the crisis, the reorientation of the companies towards the performance of the employee.
"Consulteam" manager also said that the fluctuation of the staff of the private companies is decreasing because the employees are more cautious and think more before accepting the offer of another company for a salary rise. Oana Bolotan Datki estimates that this is the moment when the market settles down and that there will not be any more requests to double the salaries.
Madalina Balan, general manager of the head hunting firm "HART Human Resource Consulting," estimates that the changing of the jobs initiated by candidates has significantly fallen starting in October. She added that also the companies which had important expansion plans are in abeyance or have even given up these initiatives for a period of time, which entails the diminution of the hiring.
The manager of "HART Human Resource Consulting" estimates that people change the job for several reasons. Among them we can enumerate the wish to develop, to earn more or to change the relational framework perceived at a certain moment as toxic. To them we can add the feeling of insecurity connected with the post or the company. This last reason is valid especially for those who work in industries that were immediately affected by the crisis.
Petra Votinsky, country manager of the executive search firm "Human Value International," estimates that this trend to change the job after a short period of time is not good for both the employee and for the hiring company. She states that many companies have revised their budgets, fact which had an impact on the recruitment process and on the other aspects connected with the personnel policy. The manager of the company also added that the emphasis is laid now on maintaining the existing personnel that has proved its efficiency and competence.
