More than 100 Orange shops in Romania

Orange Romania exceeded 100 shops, as a new Orange Shop was opened in Timisoara (western Romania), according to a press release of the company.

Orange Shop Timisoara is the 101 Orange store and the 4th one opened in Timisoara.

According to the release, in addition to the 101 shops, there are some 1,100 partner stores and approx. 35,000 points of sale providing prepaid cards. Orange is still the mobile telecommunication operator in Romania with the largest distribution network.

'We have invested nearly 5 million euro in the expansion of the Orange distribution network only in 2008, by opening new shops and supporting our efficient partners that expanded their business to the cities and the rural area', Florin Popa, sales manager with Orange Romania said.

The total Orange investments in Romania over 1997-2008 have exceeded 1.6 billion euro, of which some 200 million were allocated in 2008 for expanding and increasing density of the telecommunication network, developing the Orange services distribution network and launching new products and services, such as iPhone 3G.
