Dorna travel industry infrastructure to be rehabilitated

Travel industry infrastructure of Vatra Dornei (north) Spa Resort is to be rehabilitated and upgraded in the four years to come based on a programme worth more than 9 million euros.

Vatra Dornei Mayor Ioan Moraru announced on Monday that the municipality has in ongoing implementation an ample rehabilitation programme of the travel industry infrastructure, in the value of 9.4 million euros, money attracted from structural funds.

According to the Mayor, the project includes construction of a new ski slope with cable transportation installation and equipment for artificial snow, rehabilitation in its entirety of the spa park, construction of several sport fields, a skating rink, as well as the upgrading of the streets.

The rehabilitation and upgrading programme also includes a far-reaching project on leisure time called 'Lunca Dornelor leisure complex'.

The main objectives to be built within the travel industry center and leisure activities are a modern building with swimming pools , a SPA center, water toboggans and waterfalls, sport fields, bowling, discotheque.

Vatra Dornei Spa Resort is recommended for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases as well as arthritis, rheumatisms, endocrine affections etc. The resort has at present 2,500 accommodation places and during winter celebrations the occupation degree is 100 percent.
