Foreigners take out 39.32 mln euros from BVB, in 2008

Net outflows (difference between equity sales and acquisitions) of foreign investors on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) amounted to 39.32 million euros (148.21 million lei) in 2008, according to data published by BVB.
Overall volume of BVB trading stood last year at 1.896 billion euros. Foreign investors placements into equities listed on BVB amounted to some 543.953 million euros and equity sales stood at a total value of 583.273 million euros.
At the same time, net foreign capital inflows were recorded in December on BVB, of 1.8 million euros, at a total trading volume of 46.71 million euros.
Foreign investors' placements into BVB listed equity amounted last month to some 26.32 million euros and equity sales reached a total value of 24.51 million euros.
Non-resident individuals bought in December equities in the value of 800,000 euros and sold in the value of 528,000 euros and non-resident corporate entities made equity acquisitions in the value of 25.52 million euros and sales of 23.99 million euros. Over the examined period, local investors bought equities of 19.76 million euros and sold in the value of 21.65 million euros.
In 2007, the acquisitions volume made by foreign investors on the Romanian capital market totaled 2.35 billion euros, respectively 7.84 billion lei, according to centralized data of the National Securities Commission (CNVM).
Market inflows stood at 2.023 billion euros, and the amounts exiting the market over the examined period exceeded the level of 1.467 billion euros, and the sales volume on the capital market stood at 1.898 billion euros (6.329 billion lei).
