MT will start controls at hotels throughout the country

Ministry of Tourism will conduct controls in hotels throughout the country, which will address provision of sanctions and lifting licenses should services not be compliant with the quality standards, Agerpres reports. This declaration was made by Tourism Minister, Elena Udrea, who attended the Tourism Fair Caravan, Engine, Tourism (CMT) at Stuttgart, an event where Romania is a partner country. Tourism Minister said that the prices charged in the Romanian tourism are over the level of services provided.
Thus, Udrea recommended the hotel owners to adjust prices to the services offered.
CMT Fair in Stuttgart takes place during January 17-25, 2009. Romania's booth has a surface of 200 square meters and it is located at the entrance into the exhibition building dedicated to CMT Tourism Fair in Stuttgart. From among the exhibitors there are Asociatia de Ecoturism Romania, Prietenii Naturii Romania, representatives of Sibiu city, Asociatia de Turism Bucovina, representatives of Tulcea, Sighisoara and Paralela 45 tour operator, Carpatair, Blue Air, Stuttgart Romanian - German Forum.
Romania's booth created a strong impression among the Europeans, being visited by thousands persons and the expectations are that those persons will come to Romania, Udrea said, quoted by Realitatea.
Romania's pavilion hosts 21 exhibitors. The stated purpose of the official delegation of Romania and of the Romanian tour companies attending the fair is to convince the tour operators throughout the world that our country is a destination which should not miss from their tourist offer. Romania's pavilion has a surface of 600 square meters, the emphasis being laid this year on promoting the natural reservation the Danube Delta and cultural tourism.
