White & Case expands its Bucharest office with new partner

Global law firm White & Case LLP adds to its strong leadership team in the Bucharest office with the appointment of Lucian Bondoc as coexecutive partner and head of the Mergers & Acquisitions/Corporate and Competition Practices.

'Lucian is a terrific complement to the existing leadership team in our Bucharest office and will play a significant role in further growing our business in Romania,' commented Jan Matejcek, regional section head for Central and Eastern Europe. 'His recognized experience having worked on numerous significant corporate and competition matters will further strengthen our ability to deliver the highest quality services to our clients throughout the region,' Jan added.

Previously a partner in Salans LLP, the appointment of Lucian Bondoc is an important step in White & Case's strategy to further increase its capabilities in corporate, competition, employment and the pharmaceuticals sector in the Bucharest office. Lucian is specialized in all areas of corporate, commercial and competition law, focusing on M&A, capital markets and greenfield projects. He also has extensive experience in dealing with sensitive employment law issues. A member of the Bucharest Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales, Lucian holds four university degrees, including a master Degree in Public Administration from the French National School of Administration (Ecole Nationale d'Administration).
