Salans LLP Partner Ian Rose speaks on Compliance with the UK Bribery Act
SALANS - 31 Ianuarie 2011
Ian Rose, Partner in the Global Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Group at Salans LLP in London and Brussels, will speak of the stringent new requirements and the steps which companies and individuals should take in order to comply with the UK Bribery Act during British Romanian Chamber of Commerce's Business Breakfast' on Thursday, 24th February 2011, from 8:30 am to 10:15am at the InterContinental Hotel, Fortuna Room.
The UK Bribery Act 2010 is due to come into force in April and will impose criminal penalties on any company with a business presence in the UK, even if it is registered in Romania (or another country), which does not take steps to prevent bribery by anyone acting on its behalf anywhere in the world. The Act also imposes criminal penalties on companies and individuals for bribing commercial partners and public officials in the UK and elsewhere.
BRCC Chairman Elect Mr. Raymond Breden will moderate the event.
The event is free of charge but given the limited number of seats, registration will be made on a first come first served basis.
