Affiliation of Romanian Association of Financial – Banking Analysts (AAFBR) to the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS)

At the last AGM meeting held in Vilnius, Lithuania, EFFAS (The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies) was pleased to accept the affiliation of AAFBR (Romanian Association of Financial Banking Analysts).

EFFAS thus continues its mission to promote integration, build on diversity and create wealth, all these finally leading to integrity,  qualification and communication. EFFAS is a Federation of 25 national societies of investment professionals in Europe, representing around 15,000 professionals in Equity/Bond Research, Asset/Portfolio Management and Investment Advice. Its overall aim is to set standards for investment professionals in communication, ethics and qualification, to exert influence on EU guidelines and to recognize and respect regional market characteristics.

The EFFAS policy is to support the affiliation of a single organisation from each country, and AAFBR succeeded in proving its commitment to EFFAS values by adopting the code of conduct and offering a large representation of the financial analyst profession inRomania.

Set up in January 2008, AAFBR is a professional organisation with more than 50 members from all areas of the Romanian financial market: banks, insurance companies, brokerage companies, private pension funds, international financial institutions.
